Terms of use

We've tried to write these in plain language, since terms nobody reads don't really protect anybody. By using this site or its tools, you're agreeing to them.

In effect since 2 October 2026.

The tools

What you can do with them Pretty much anything. You can use any tool here for personal use, at work, or to make money. You can copy them, modify them, and host them on your own site. They're released under the MIT licence, and the only condition is that the copyright notice and licence text go along with any copy you pass on.
What's inside them Some tools include open-source components made by other people, which are covered by their own licences. Each tool's page lists what it includes, and the licence notices are bundled inside the downloaded file.
No warranty The tools are provided as they are. We write and test them carefully, but we can't promise any tool is fit for a particular purpose, and we aren't liable if something goes wrong, whether that's a lost file, a wrong reading, or a calendar event with the wrong time. Keep your own copies of anything that matters and double-check anything important before relying on it.
Your data is yours Whatever you put into a tool stays on your device. The flip side is that looking after it is up to you. If you clear your browser data it's gone, and there's no copy on our end to restore it from.

The site

Availability This is a small site run by one person. It might go down, tools might get retired, and there's no promise that anything here will be around forever. Tools you've already downloaded will keep working regardless, which is a big part of why we build them that way.
Other people's material Tools that show data from somewhere else say where it comes from on their page. Names, logos and trademarks belong to their owners, and showing them doesn't mean we're affiliated with them. For example, NHL Calendar isn't affiliated with or endorsed by the NHL.
Links and ads Links and ads can take you to places we don't control and aren't responsible for. The rules our ads have to follow are laid out in the funding section of the About page.
Contributions Contributions are voluntary gifts to help keep the site running, not purchases. Paying doesn't unlock anything, so there's nothing to refund, but if you sent one by mistake just let us know and we'll send it back.
Please don't Do anything that breaks the site for other people, like hammering our servers or using a tool's back-end for something it wasn't built for. That's the only rule.
Where these terms apply The site is run from Canada and these terms are interpreted under Canadian law. Nothing here takes away any rights you have under your local consumer protection laws.
